How to Check Your SEPCO Bill Online (Step-by-Step for 2026)

Sukkur Electric Power Company (SEPCO) does not run its own billing website. Like every distribution company in Pakistan, its bills are hosted on the central PITC portal, so the only thing standing between you and this month's bill is your reference number. Once you have that 14-digit number, the whole check takes under a minute and works on any phone or laptop.

What you need before you start

You need exactly one thing: the 14-digit reference number printed at the top of the bill. It is the long, all-digit field near your name and address, usually labelled "Reference No". It stays the same every month, so any older SEPCO bill for the same connection will have it. You do not need a password, an account, or your CNIC. If you have never received a paper bill on a new connection, the number is on the demand notice issued when the meter was installed. We explain it in full in our guide to the SEPCO reference number.

Step by step: checking your SEPCO bill on the PITC portal

  1. Open bill.pitc.com.pk/sepcobill in your browser.
  2. Type your 14-digit reference number into the box. Enter digits only, with no spaces or dashes.
  3. Press the view or submit button.
  4. The current month's bill loads on screen as a PDF, showing the amount, the units used, the due date and the two payable figures (before and after the due date).
  5. Use your browser's download or print option to save a copy or take a printout to pay over the counter.

The portal shows the most recent bill the company has generated. If your new month has not been issued yet, it will keep showing the previous one until the billing cycle runs.

Checking your bill through this site

We are honest about what we can and cannot do. This site does not fetch, store or re-host your actual SEPCO bill, because your billing record belongs behind the official portal. What our bill checker does is confirm your reference number is the right shape before you leave the page, so you do not bounce off the portal because of a typo, and then send you straight to bill.pitc.com.pk/sepcobill. It also includes an offline estimator that breaks the charges down slab by slab, which is the arithmetic the portal never shows you.

Which lookup methods actually work online

People try several ways to pull up a bill. Only one of them works on the official portal:

Ways people try to check a SEPCO bill online
MethodWorks on the portal? What you need
Reference numberYesThe 14-digit number from any bill
CNIC numberNoCNIC is used only when applying for a new connection
Meter numberNoUseful for identifying the meter, not for online lookup
Customer name / addressNoThe portal has no name search

What to do if your bill does not show

If nothing loads, work through these in order:

  • Count the digits. A reference number is exactly 14 digits. If yours is shorter you are probably reading the customer ID or the meter number.
  • Check for a new reference number. If the connection was recently regularised or its tariff changed, SEPCO can issue a new number and the old one stops working. The current number is on your latest paper bill.
  • Wait for the cycle. A brand-new month may not be uploaded yet.
  • Try later. The portal is occasionally down for maintenance; the number is not the problem in that case.

Once the bill is open, it helps to know what each line means. Our walkthrough on reading your SEPCO bill explains FPA, GST and the rest, and the per-unit price guide shows the slab rates behind the total.

Frequently asked questions

Do I need to register or create an account to check my SEPCO bill?

No. The PITC portal shows any SEPCO bill from just the 14-digit reference number. There is no sign-up, password or login step for viewing or printing the bill.

Can I check my SEPCO bill without the reference number?

Not online. The official portal only searches by the 14-digit reference number. If you have lost every copy of the bill, get the number from an older bill for the same connection, from the original demand notice, or by visiting your SEPCO sub-divisional office with your CNIC and meter details.

Is checking the bill online the same as paying it?

No. Viewing the bill is free and shows the amount and due date. To pay, use the download to print it and pay at a bank or authorised outlet, or pay through your bank app or a mobile wallet using the reference number.

Which areas does SEPCO bill?

SEPCO supplies upper Sindh, including Sukkur, Larkana, Khairpur, Shikarpur, Jacobabad, Ghotki, Kandhkot and Naushahro Feroze. The same portal and reference-number method works across all of them.
