SEPCO Duplicate Bill: Download, Print and Pay Before the Due Date
A duplicate SEPCO bill is simply a fresh copy of your current bill, printed from the online portal when the paper one has gone missing, arrived late, or never came. It carries the same amount and the same due date as the original, so getting a duplicate does not cost you anything extra; it just lets you pay on time. All you need is your reference number.
How to get your SEPCO duplicate bill online
- Open bill.pitc.com.pk/sepcobill.
- Enter your 14-digit reference number, digits only.
- View the current bill on screen.
- Use your browser's download or print option to save the PDF or take a hard copy.
- Pay the printed duplicate at a bank or authorised outlet, or pay from your bank app using the reference number.
The portal holds the most recently generated bill. For a much older month it may not be available online, in which case your SEPCO sub-divisional office can provide a copy. Our full online bill check guide covers the portal in more detail.
Reading the due date and the two payable amounts
Every SEPCO bill prints a due date and two figures: the amount payable within due date and a higher amount payable after due date. The difference between them is the late-payment surcharge. The due date is usually about ten days after the bill is issued, so a duplicate is most useful when a bill has arrived late and that date is close.
| When you pay | What you pay | Effect |
|---|---|---|
| On or before the due date | Payable within due date | No surcharge |
| After the due date | Payable after due date | Late-payment surcharge added |
| Not at all for a cycle | Amount carries to next bill as arrears | Risk of disconnection |
How to pay a SEPCO bill after the due date
If the due date has already passed, you do not need a new bill; simply pay the payable after due date figure shown on the same bill. Banks and authorised outlets accept it, and so do most bank apps and mobile wallets. If the billing cycle has already moved on, that overdue amount reappears as arrears on your next month's bill, which you can pull up online the same way. Persistent non-payment risks disconnection, so pay the after-due-date amount as soon as you can.
Where and how to pay your SEPCO bill
With the duplicate in hand, the same reference number works across every payment channel:
- Banks and authorised outlets. Present the printed bill at any bank branch or authorised collection counter that handles utility payments.
- Bank apps and internet banking. Under the electricity or utility category, select SEPCO, enter the reference number, and pay from your account.
- Mobile wallets. Wallets such as Easypaisa and JazzCash accept electricity payments; pick the bill option, enter the reference number, and confirm the amount shown.
- ATMs. Many banks list utility bill payment on the ATM menu, again using the reference number.
Keep the receipt or app confirmation until the payment clears, which usually shows on the portal within a day or two. Avoid paying in the final hour before the due date, because a delayed or failed transfer can still leave you owing the after-due-date amount.
Avoiding the surcharge next time
- Check your bill online a few days into each month instead of waiting for the paper copy.
- Save your reference number so a missing bill is never a reason to pay late.
- Set a monthly reminder a few days before the typical due date.
If your bill is not just late but larger than expected, the guide to high bills helps you work out why before you pay. You can also check your reference number is valid with our bill checker before opening the portal.
Frequently asked questions
Does a SEPCO duplicate bill cost extra?
No. A duplicate is the same bill reprinted from the portal, with the identical amount and due date. There is no fee for viewing or downloading it online.
How do I download my SEPCO bill as a PDF?
Open bill.pitc.com.pk/sepcobill, enter your 14-digit reference number, and when the bill appears use your browser's download or print option to save it as a PDF or print a copy to pay.
What happens if I pay my SEPCO bill after the due date?
You pay the higher "payable after due date" amount printed on the bill, which includes a late-payment surcharge. If the cycle has moved on, the overdue amount is carried to your next bill as arrears, and continued non-payment can lead to disconnection.
Can I get an old SEPCO bill from a few months ago?
The portal generally shows the most recent bill. For older months it may not be available online, so contact your SEPCO sub-divisional office with your reference number to get a copy.
